Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
In plain terms: RxLoop's app currently stores your data (language choice, counterfeit reports, reminders) only on your own device. Nothing is sent to RxLoop's servers, because RxLoop does not currently operate a backend server. This will change as features like cross-device sync are added — this policy will be updated when that happens.
1. Information We Collect
The RxLoop website and app are designed to collect as little information as possible. Specifically:
- Language preference — which of the five supported languages you select — stored on your device only.
- Counterfeit reports you submit — medication name, batch code, purchase location, notes, and an optional photo — stored on your device only, using your browser's local storage.
- Reminders you set — medication name and time — stored on your device only.
- Contact form / email — if you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in that email, like any normal email.
We do not currently collect account information, precise location, device identifiers, or analytics data, because none of these systems exist yet in the product.
2. How Your Information Is Stored
Data described in Section 1 (other than direct email) is stored using your browser's local storage on your own device. It is not transmitted to RxLoop or any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing your browser data will delete it. Because it lives only on your device, RxLoop cannot recover this data for you if you lose or reset your device.
3. Third-Party Services
Loading the RxLoop website or app makes standard web requests to:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — to load typefaces. Google may receive your IP address as part of this standard request.
- Tailwind CDN (cdn.tailwindcss.com) — to load styling code.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind at this time.
4. Future Changes
As RxLoop adds features like cross-device sync for counterfeit reports or a real backend, the categories of data we collect and how it's handled will expand. We will update this policy before any such change takes effect, and will clearly disclose what's changing.
5. Children's Privacy
RxLoop is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
6. Your Rights
Because the data described above lives on your own device, you control it directly — you can view, edit, or delete it at any time within the app, or by clearing your browser's site data. If you've contacted us by email and want that correspondence deleted, contact us and we will remove it.
7. Medical Disclaimer
RxLoop provides general medication information only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow your prescription label or consult a licensed pharmacist or healthcare provider.
